BREAD OF LIFE RESCUE MISSION
HOUSE RULES
EVERYONE MUST ABIDE BY THESE RULES AT ALL TIMES DURING YOUR STAY HERE.
- NO alcoholic beverages of any kind are allowed on these premises.
- NO smoking is allowed inside the buildings. Smoking is allowed only in the designated areas outside. Do not put your cigarette butts in trash or in the yard. Use the trash buckets that are provided.
- NO drugs of any kind are allowed on these premises unless they are prescription drugs and we can contact the physician for verification. All prescription must be turned in to staff to be held and handed out for your stay.
- NO firearms or weapons of any kind are allowed on these premises. All personal belongings will be searched when you arrive. We hold the right to do random searches of your room and bed area and car or belongings without you present as long as said items are on mission land. All weapons of any type must be surrendered on arrival. They will be returned to you upon departure.
- Random TB/Drug/Alcohol testing may be conducted at any time during your stay at the mission. You are also subject to random searches of personal property and searches of your person. Refusal to drug test or allow searches will result in automatic termination – you will leave the mission property immediately.
- There is to be no socializing or touching at any time between male and female residents during your stay at the mission. If this happens, both parties will be terminated. There will be no exception.
- The KITCHEN and LAUNDRY ROOM are off limits to ALL RESIDENTS. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you want something, ask a Mission worker.
- Beds must be made and sleeping areas cleaned by 7:00 a.m. everyone must be fully dressed (in street clothes, not sleepwear) before leaving the sleeping areas.
- NO phone calls without permission from the Director. There is a 3-minute limit on all calls. No long distance calls are allowed. NO PHONE CALLS BEFORE 8:00 A.M. OR AFTER 8:00 P.M. UNLESS IT IS PERTAINING TO YOUR WORK.
- NO secular music allowed.
- NO “horseplay” or fighting at any time.
- NO talking when lights are out. Those who work need their rest.
- NO food or drinks are allowed in the sleeping areas.
- NO one is allowed in other people’s sleeping areas. NO visiting in each other’s rooms at any time. If you need to see someone, go outside.
- Everyone must take a shower or bath daily. This includes all family members. The bathrooms must be cleaned after each use. You must be dressed before walking out of bath room!
- Curfew time for everyone is 9:00 pm every night. The only exception is if you work and have proof of evening employment Lights to be out at 9:30 pm.
- NO disrespect of mission staff or anyone staying at the mission will be allowed.
- If you cannot be present for mealtime, let the staff know at least one hour ahead of time.
- During your stay at the mission, you are REQUIRED to attend EVERY EVENING DEVOTION (Monday through Saturday) at 7:00 pm and ALL 3 SERVICES ON SUNDAYS at 9:30 am for Sunday school, and services at 11:00 and 5:00 pm. The only exception is if you have to work and can prove it.
- The office is for staff and new people signing in. It is not a gathering place.
- Unless there is bad weather or due to temp outside (cold/hot) every one must be out of the dorm looking work or housing from 8 am – 4 pm.
- THIS IS GOD’S HOUSE AND WE WILL KEEP IT HOLY AT ALL TIMES!
- You have two choices: (1) Abide by these rules, or (2) leave. It is up to you.
- Cell phones are to be off at every meal and every devotion, and AT 9 PM THEY WILL BE TAKEN UP. YOU WILL GET THEM BACK THE NEXT MORNING.
- Tennessee law (§40-39-211) does not allow sex offenders to reside at the mission, which is less than 1,000 feet from the Phoenix Academy school and Child day care on school street.
- For your safety, as well as the safety of other residents, visitors, volunteers and staff, including property on both sides of the street belonging to the Bread of Life Rescue Mission, Surveillance Cameras are installed and monitored to insure the safety of all people mentioned above, while on the property or grounds of the Bread of Life Rescue Mission.
